Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the PocketPractice platform, operated by Constrast (Pty) Ltd. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

Practitioner accounts require valid HPCSA registration. Agent accounts require a contractual relationship with the practitioners they bill for. Institution accounts require proof of registration.

3. Account responsibilities

You are responsible for keeping credentials secure, ensuring the accuracy of information you upload, and complying with healthcare law and your scheme contracts.

4. The service

PocketPractice provides software for managing patients, appointments, claims and billing. We integrate with MediKredit and supported medical aid schemes. We do not adjudicate claims, set tariffs, or provide medical advice.

5. Fees

Fees are described on the pricing page or in your order. We may change fees on prior notice. Taxes are added where applicable.

6. Acceptable use

You will not misuse the service, submit fraudulent claims, attempt to access other users data, or use the service in a way that breaches POPIA, HPCSA rules, or medical scheme regulations.

7. Intellectual property

The platform, software, and trademarks are owned by Constrast (Pty) Ltd. You retain ownership of the patient and practice data you upload.

8. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees paid in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach. On termination you remain entitled to export your data for a reasonable period.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by South African law. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
